Trust me, you need this “multipurpose ointment” (originally labeled as diaper ointment!) whether you have children or not. This is an item I will now always have on hand for any and all skin irritations! (I just bought 2 more…one for the kids and one for us adults!)
I’m sure you’re first thought is – um….what? Why do I need THIS ointment?
Because “multipurpose” doesn’t begin to describe it. Honestly, I think my friend Melissa, who is the awesome creator of this concoction, needs to relabel it as “Marvelous Cream” or “Do-it-all Cream” or some other adjective to express how exceptional it is.
Sure, I’ve used it on diaper rashes. You know the ones, the red raw angry ones that won’t respond to anything else? This healed them. It’s soothing and healing with it’s blend of essential oils and other ingredients that work hard to nourish your skin.
It’s also great for your face! Do your kids ever get “wind-burned”? Where they get those dry pink cheeks (especially during the winter) after spending too much time outside? Put a dab of this on, and a mere few hours later, those cheeks will be good as new.
Just last week, I found a new usage for it. This pregnancy is doing some funky things to my skin, and I had random spots that were peeling (despite not having burned) and others that looked chapped (though it was May!) I tried a few things…extra facial cream, extra coconut oil – nothing. Finally it dawned on me to try this ointment. I’m not kidding you, within 4 hours, all the spots I applied it to were all healed. I kind of thought it was a fluke, but this morning they are still in great shape!
My next experiment was an odd rash that has formed on my son’s leg after playing in the grass one day, and hadn’t gone away in over a week. After applying diligently for 2 days…the rash is gone. Yay!!
Oh, and did I mention a little goes a LONG way? You don’t have to slather this on to get benefits. In this case, a dab will do ya! It’s a great little investment into a wonderful natural way to heal issues with your skin, without all the junk normally found in skin care products.
There’s two ways you can get this cream:
From her Etsy page: (while you’re there check out her wide range of “5 free” Nail Polishes!)
or, if you are local, you can purchase it through the Against The Grain co-op we belong to: (and while you’re there, check out all the goodies available…. grass fed beef, local farm chicken, local produce…yum!)
Have you used this miracle ointment before? Let me know how it worked for you….I’d love to find even more uses!
